March 31st

I am thankful for cameras. Today I went shopping with Ross and he bought himself a camera. I love looking back on pictures I have taken and seeing the joy of that trip. They bring back amazing memories. I hope Ross and Keara take picture that are memories as they are headed to Mexico with the high school youth of Grace Community Church tomorrow. I am in prayer for the team and can't wait to hear and see what they did while serving in Mexico.

What I am truly thankful for tonight is hurt, pain, sorrow, and Christ's unending love. Cory talked about how troubles can bring something good...and sometimes difficulty is a beautiful thing. For how else can we learn of God's greater gift of grace?

I am thankful for Philosophy class....and how much I hate it! It is definitely a stretcher. I know I can get though this class with an A!!! I just know I can.

I love being at my aunt and uncles house, and knowing my cousin is home. We went out for Coldstone tonight and had a good time just chatting. We haven't done this in quite a while. Tonight as I am studying for my Sociology test (that is tomorrow) Taytoe is sitting with me, talking to me, and helping me (well kinda) with preparation for my test. I LOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEE her! :)

I am thankful for my Philosophy class. I am struggling in it and really have trouble with my teacher. I am learning to stay strong and stay true to myself....especially as I write a 3 page paper before the rough draft is due.

As I am getting ready to go off to college I will either have a car or I won't...but if I do I will have to start paying for gas. I love that I am allowed one tank a week for free! Gas prices are getting so expensive. Thank you to my daddy for this gift. :) Gratitude # 84~a tank of free gas for my truck. :)

Gratitude #81 So much good stuff! Haha today I just can't pick one thing to be thankful for...maybe hanging with the Hoover/extended fam. Maybe terping this morning. Possible my suitcase that allows me to go where I need. Or my chiropractor who hurts me to make me feel better. So why can't I be thankful for it all? :)

For His Love Never Ends~I am thankful for fries! :) I love french fries! Most of the time you don't eat them alone. I love how they also can be "healthy" as I mainly don't eat meat.

I love that I have a gym membership and can use it and work out. I don't go a lot, but have been trying to keep up a good work out schedule.

Gratitude #76~The rain. I used to not enjoy the rain, but now I take it a something so extraordinary. God brought me to start falling in love with the rain in Guatemala. And now because our trees need the rain too, I embrace a good blustery day (that is as long as I can be inside). Oh what a beautiful day.

It is weird to think about what I am thankful for each day. Just one thing, every day, can seem repetitive sometimes...it can also be awesome to think of! Today I am thankful for stressful moments.  My friend James said something in relation to this really well...
"I'm going to enjoy feeling depressed for the moment so the next time I'm happy I can enjoy it more. Sound good? Good...It's all about perspective. We can't be truly happy without knowing why it's like to be sad. I'm not always going to be sad, or in my current case, disappointed so I'm going to accept where I'm for the moment as something different. Later I'll look at where I am and then back at times like this and enjoy it all the more for the contrast it provides." 
It is a different concept, but I want to be thankful at all times. Thankful when I am stressed, and thankful when I am not in those moments too.

I couldn't decided what I am thankful for today...so while on the tractor I thought about it. :) Either my love hate relationship for the weather or oranges? And since they both had to do with oranges, I think the little orange edible things win! Keara and I were spraying weeds yesterday and it is a pain when the wind kicks up because then the weed sprayer sprays the tree. :( I do love all that oranges give me. :)

Challenge #2~Meat?

After 52 days of not eating meat and deciding I am only going to eat fish, I just HAD to eat my daddy's tri-tip tonight. It was sooooo worth it. I ate salad and rice too but overall I think this was an amazing decision. I still want to keep up the healthy pescitarian eating, but tonight I did break my vegi trial.

And here goes another steady month of what I am grateful for. :) Today I have so much to be grateful for. I think I am thankful for worship. Now I know gratitude #43 was singing and signing, but tonight's service at Satellite was worship through song and reading the Bible. I was blessed. :)
