January 30th

This mornings sunrise
Sometimes my days are filled with crazy little adventures that I never knew could happen in my day. Little things like not getting keys for a tour, or getting ice marks all over my dress pants.
Today I read 1 Corinthians 10. I loved how Paul finishes this section with him doing things for the Glory of God. In my little circumstances I must remember that what I am doing is for God's glory.

January 28th & 29th or lack of

January 28th I read 1 Corinthians 9 and have enjoyed seeing even one verse that looks like something I memorized in AWANAs.
And then while I didn't read my own quiet time bible study tonight I did have street teams (small group). The girls and I went over half of chapter 2 in Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. We already see the blessing the Lord has given us through this book. :)

My reading Jan 25th, 26th and today

January 25 I read 1 Corinthians 7.
January 26th I did church with my roomie because we had a snow day for church. This was so precious and I was thankful for this different style of church and quiet time I could have.
Today January 27th I had a snow day for school. Life is crazy and I'm so blessed. I read 1 Corinthians 8. With that I am going to write a prayer request list and honor the Lord and let this body rest. :)

The bible is beautiful

I just love reading the bible. You see dear reader, I'm not one who genuinely cares to read...but when I read the bible, I enjoy it. It makes me smile, makes me cry, causes me to think, and I desire to keep reading it.
Last night I spent some roomie time reading a Psalm (Psalm 100 if you want to know) and talking about our favorite verses.
Tonight I read my roomie's favorite Psalm (Psalm 139 for you who are yet again curious).
If you weren't curious...you should be. Go look them up and soak in God's awesome goodness.
For His Love Never Ever Ends

January 19&20

I was so tired last night that I went to sleep at 10:30. It was a really good thing that I needed and my plan is to continue to get homework done and make it to bed early tonight. I have a long and busy day tomorrow. It's going to be crazy but also really good to get to the end of my day.
Yesterday I read 1 Corinthians 5 and today I just finished 1 Corinthians 6. I wanted to read another part of DO HARD THINGS, but I didn't quite get there. I have a few assignments due tomorrow and I am preparing to finish a big assignment for Wednesday. Between these two days the Lord is helping me get through. Even allowing Bible reading to be a part of my day is tough but it is like I learned with my girls at camp; everything fits better when Christ comes first. :)
God bless you readers,
Easton

Review 2 + 1

Wow two whole days I didn't write....and now today is day three! Yep
BUT
You may be asking me..."Easton did you read or did you not post because you didn't read?"
I read. :)
1 Corinthians 2 again forgetting I had just read it the night before....(I read it on my phone and I normally read from my Bible).
Than I read 1 Corinthians 3
and tonight is 1 Corinthians 4.
I have stalled at reading Do Hard Things, but I think God is okay with it. ;)
Be blessed by good conversation and by God's holy word.

Staying positive

I love how reading the bible can often be inspiring, confusing, comforting and perfectly timed. Today in between classes I chose to read the second half of 1 Corinthians 2. I read verses 10-16 at least two times and just dwell on what God needed me to hear.
With all the homework that is beginning to be piled onto my plate I started questioning (again) why I'm going to school for...but the Lord reassured me and caused me to take a breath in my chaos and just rest in His goodness.

January 13th and counting

Sunset on Bethel's Campus
Completed Do Hard things chapter 3 and I read from 1 Corinthians chapter two. I kept it simple and read verses 1-9. This was beautiful. :) You should go read this too. It's a breath of fresh air.

God bless,
Easton

I read on January 12th 2014

I read today. And I went to church. :) I love my church and enjoy seeing the people I get to know there. I came home ate lunch, wrote some letters and read more of Do Hard Things then decided upon 1 Corinthians 1. Today I chose success and am nervous about what my time with God will look like when I am swamped with homework. But for today I relish in the fact that Christ is Love. He IS my blessing and is everlasting. God bless you folks.

New Year, New challenges

Happy New Year!
If you read my latest blog on eastonkimiko then maybe that's why you're here now. Or maybe you just like to see what challenges I'm currently doing (or not doing).

Well here I am now starting a bible study devotional challenge. After a recent conversation with my friend Rachel I want to be connected with my Heavenly Father in a deeper way this year. And for me that begins with daily quality time. :)

So today January 11th I am going to update you that I read Do Hard Things and Genesis 2:1-7.
We have the breath of Christ in us.
