June 29th

With June 2012 slowly coming to an end, and my days feeling similar, I am thankful for so much yet seem to find so little...I am thankful for failure, and success. You see tonight I tested for my 2nd degree recommended black belt. I totally froze on my primary patterns and did well on my board breaks. It was a bad thing, but a good thing. :) And now I am going to sleep...

June 28th

I love not understanding what God wants from me...okay so I don't like it but I am thankful for what it teaches me. Today I am thankful for carpet. I was tossed on it a lot today. At the black belt tournament I am attending we are learning self defense. It was a blessing to be tossed on the ground in hopes to help someone learn self defense (because then they were next be tossed on the ground). This is also a metaphor as to the opening of my post...Sometimes we get thrown around in life and don't understand why, but God has a plane. :) Attitude of gratitude #173~carpet...not only because it is something I get thrown around on, but it is comfy too. Walking on it or laying on it can be so much nicer than concrete or hard floor.

June 27th

The extra button...yes this is what I am thankful for. I know this might not make sense...but I had black belt camp today and I knew I was going to hurt some....Master Whitlow said that when we are tired, sore or etc. to press our extra button and push through. My collar bone really hurt today and I had to press that button A LOT. :) I hope tomorrow is better but just as good.

June 26th

After work today I went up to see the family at aunty and uncle's. I realized even though they live in the same little town that I do, driving up the road to see them means I go up to visit them. Too funny. Anyway...we were celebrating grandma's 86th birthday. It's so nice to be old.

I am thankful for Hallmark. I bought a really cool gift for my friend who is in the hospital. It's a good gift store. :)

I honestly don't know what I am thankful for tonight. I know there is so much to be thankful for. I am not in the hospital like my friend Kaylee. I am not dying from a deeps stage of cancer. I am not living in a third world country not knowing when I will get my next meal? What then will I chose to be thankful for? These are the times I must look to God and know that I can be thankful in all circumstances.

June 20th

Rocks. I am thankful for rocks. They come in all shapes and sizes. They are heavy and light. I picked them up today on the ranch...yup. They were a pain! :)

June 19th

"Pain is weakness leaving the body" I always used to hear my coach say this in gymnastics. I really have felt this the last two days as I have burned my arm on the exhaust pipe when I was changing my oil and when I was slightly electrocuted today unplugging my computer charger. I am thankful for the pain that teaches me safety. Because of gymnastics I will always have problems physically but I will push through and do everything that I can do with the power that comes from Christ.

June 18th

Today I pulled a ton of files at work! It was fun...and boring...and I am thankful for the files. Granted I don't like filing, but it's a different thing to do.

Today is father's day. It's a special day to celebrate..and not just our fathers. My family got together with everyone on my dad's side (okay so everyone who could make it). it was a hot day, but a good day, with good food, good family, and a good way to celebrate the fathers in our lives.

June 16th

I know this is being posted late but I stayed over at a friends house. I am thiankful today for dance recitals. I have been in a few in my lifetime and went to watch my sister today in hers. It was fun...and long. :p I loved seeing the girls I used to dance with! It was a well done show.

June 15th

I was trying to think of what I would be thankful for...then I realized something that is soo different! I am thankful for our piano! :) We are borrowing it from family friends of ours and I just started up taking piano lessons again. I am not the best (in fact my sister is probably better) but I love it! :) I hope that I can keep this small not really talent for forever!

Today was Laura's birthday, a hot day, a nice day, a spirit filled day, a Jesus lovin' day. I am thankful for Cory's message. He blessed me tonight and God just keeps working in my life in ways I just couldn't imagine. I love it.

I am thankful for midnight swims. This might be the first time I ever went but I just hung out with my cousin Keiko. It was so peaceful and great.

Yes I know this isn't normal and as far as I know people don't like eating brown, rotting bananas, but I love that today I found a brown banana on the grass while walking to my truck. THEN when I continued to proceed to my truck I saw a toy soldier. Of course this wasn't the last weird thing I saw...then there was a bag with water in it. I guess it might make sense because you need to water the grass with water...

but still...it was there.

yup yup yup i like cake. i like chocolate cake. i like ice cream. i like brownies. i like ice cream. i like dessert. desserts spelled backwards is stressed. and you spell desserts with 2 "s" because you always want two desserts. (Desert is spelled with one "s" because you only want to spend 1 day there). lol

June 8th

Fingers! Did you know I have fingers? Some people have 10 fingers...others have 5...some don't have any at all (although I would say this is rare)...some have 9 fingers. But I have my cousins baby shower tomorrow and I thought I would paint my fingernails. :) My fingers can cut food by holding a knife...or drive into town by holding the steering wheel.

I was working today and packing up the office because we are moving...and I came across floppy disks. But you see not just the hard floppy that I grew up with. No. This was legitimately a floppy floppy! :) Oh how the little things make me happy.

I love the sweet spring weather that has been happening in the valley lately...minus the allergies that have been happening but yes I like sweet airy breezes. It normally turns way too hot by now so I am thankful for the good spring weather God has blessed us with...it will surely be leaving soon though as the true summer session hits the town.

Okay so here I am sitting at work...again. I love my job and hope I am blessed in the furture to have a job as great as this one (but maybe with a little more pay)! I have made my phone calls, organized my area, shredded a ton of paper, and organized my stuff. I must say I am good at organizing my messes...but umm I am good at keeping lots of stuff too. So, yep i will always organize my messes. I am working on this and hoping to get better as I continue to grow up.
