I must say to be thankful for this today is a big thing...You see, my family has always (at least since I can remember) had family meetings. We would get together in the living room and just talk...normally the kids would not want to talk as it would be about something we needed to fix. But in the end they were always helpful to the flow of our family. Well at 20 years of age I can say that my family STILL has these. And while us kids still might not like them...I am thankful for them. We can tear down walls that have been built up, communicate, listen to each other, cry with each other, blow our noses with each other and just be a family that sticks together and works together. I still don't like these talks but God has a plan in each one of them and I will put my front foot forward (best foot forward?) and be a member of the family through thick and thin. P.S. I suggest your family tries this...but a warning, be prepared to be blown away (literally).
Amen!- Although I don't think I am liking these family talks as much as I used to. The family that talks together, prays together, laughs together, cries together and loves together....sticks together. I love you for enduring these throughout the years. Hugs, Mama
